Brioni National Park
The Brioni island archipelago lies off the southwest coast of Istria in the vicinity of Pula. It was once the meeting place of the European and world jet set.
As the only national park in Istria, Brioni with its 14 islands covering an area of 736 square hectares (1818 acres), present a unique play of nature that brings together various animal species (including many African, Asian and American non-carnivorous animals roaming freely) and rare and rich flora all at one place.
Do not miss a visit to the temple of Venus built by the Romans and 17 centuries old olive tree that still produces olives.
