Marijan Arman Wine Estate
The family-run vineyard and wine cellar of Arman Marijan are located in the Western Istrian
winegrowing area, in the immediate vicinity of Poreč, in the Vižinada district, specifically in the village
Love for making wine has been part of the family from the distant 1880s, when their great-
grandfather planted the first vineyard, and the tradition continues with Marijan with his daughters
Ines and Nina.
The grapevine has always represented the basis of existence for this family, and in time it evolved
into their reason for life. The greatest transformations occurred in the mid-1990s, in the period
known as the "Wine Spring". Arman's winery was among the first enthusiasts to modernize their
cellar and turn to modern, higher quality production of wine.
The heart of the estate is made up of a wine cellar and a tasting room that suggests the exclusivity of
wine offer with its appearance, capacities and details. The open terrace is particularly attractive with
amazing views on vineyards, where you can have a romantic wine tasting. The family has 10ha of
vineyards, but the capacities of the cellar, 1600 square meters in area, suggest far-reaching plans to
expand the holdings. With top quality inox vats and 130 oak barrels, the cellar is designed for twice
the current production.
The Arman Winery produces 14 labels from white varieties - Malvasia, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc
and White Muskat. As for black grapes, Arman cultivates Teran, Cabernet Sauvignon, Refosco, Merlot
and Syrah. Blends – Cuvee Superior made of Teran, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and Cuvee
Superior Blanc made of Malvasia, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
Depending on the year, they produce about 80 000 bottles. Thirty percent of these are exported.
