Zigante Truffle Days, Nine Weekends in 2020
The international gourmet fair Zigante Truffle Days takes place every year in Livade, the richest source of Istrian truffles, both white and black, in the valley of the river Mirna below picturesque hilltop city of Motovun.
Every year during the high season of white truffle the traditional annual event organized by Zigante family brings together gourmet aficionados from all over the world.
In the fall of 2020, the truffle fair will take place for nine weekends, every Saturday and Sunday from 19 September until 15 November.
The rich program of Zigante Truffle Days includes truffle fair, an international exhibition of wine and other indigenous Istrian products such as Istrian prosciutto, sausage, cheese, honey, olive oil or grappa.
You can join culinary workshops, demonstrations of truffle hunting demonstration in Motovun forest, and various tastings at which guests can try culinary specialties made with truffles presented by well-known chefs.
The highlight of the fair is the white truffle auction. The most beautiful and biggest truffle is selected and then sold at a public auction.
