Flos Olei Guide: 90 Olive Oils From Istria Made the Global Top 500 List
One of the foremost extra virgin olive oil authorities in the world, Flos Olei, included ninety olive oil producers from Istria in its 2020 guide.
Rome based olive oil guide has nominated Istria as a world’s leading olive oil region for a fifth consecutive year, followed by Tuscany in a second position.
Apart from accolades for the high-end quality product, the number of producers selected this year has increased as well. While the 2019 edition of Flos Olei listed eighty-seven olive oils from Istria, this year the number has increased to unprecedented ninety award recipients from the entire peninsula.
A panel of expert tasters coordinated by Marco Oreggia, editor, and publisher, applies a strict selection of high-end olive oil samples arriving from over fifty countries and five continents.
